I love the length of these Charles River Editors biographies. Longer than a Wikipedia article, but shorter than full-blown novel-length works that can bog down in excessive detail or rabbit trails. Had a few quotes from Janus I had never heard. Good read if you are a Joplin fan.. I enjoyed it.
More opinions than facts. Although the author's slant is positive, most of the book is dedicated to wordy opinions with a minimum devoted to her life and/or lifestyle.
